When someone mentions the country of Holland, what things come to mind? For me the Netherlands bring up thoughts of windmills, wooden shoes, cheese, and tulips. I have always wanted to travel to Holland to see the tulip fields that go on forever.

Imagine my surprise when I was scrolling through some unique travel opportunities in the Ozarks area, and found our very own Arkansas tulip fields! I am talking about McGarrah Farms Rivercrest Orchard in Fayetteville, AR.

This farm is one happening place.  With year round festivals and agritourism activities, you can plan a whole year worth of family fun. To learn more about McGarrah Farms Rivercrest Orchard please check out their website.

The farm itself is very much suited for families with young children. There are all sorts of climbing toys, and playground sets. There are also bouncy toys. There are also things that older children and adults can enjoy such carnival games, giant puzzles, and corn hole. Also included in your entrance fee ($25/person) is a tram ride or hayride. There are food trucks on site and few concession stands. A family could easily spend the entire day at the farm and not run out of things to do and explore.

But WE were there for the tulips. They were beautiful. They only had the tulips on three acres, but they were elegantly designed and vibrant. You could cut your own bouquet to take home, or purchase bulbs if you prefer to grow your own.

It was a lovely day and a lot of fun. My husband enjoyed the giant puzzles and my mother and grandmother and I really enjoyed tiptoeing through the tulips!
